Construction Update – Roofing

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Last month, we wrote to you about the upcoming Annex Roofing Project.

We have received notification that the construction crew will be on site Saturday, March 10th and receiving material via crane delivery between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm. The first day of work will be Monday March 12th, weather permitting. The project is anticipated to take 16 working days to complete, but a good portion of the work will happen over the March Break period, which will minimize the impact on our school. Once school resumes following the break we will provide updates on the status of the project as it progresses.

Please note that the West Playground will be closed during this work. You will be able to access the South Playground from the east entrance.

Please see my post from February 7 for details about this project. I want to highlight some updated information regarding that post that will further enhance safety during the course of this work. Crews will be installing 6’ construction grade hoarding around the perimeter of the building (a distance of 15 feet from the Annex) and overhead protection walkways at both entrances. There will also be a temporary exit/entrance to the playscape which does not interfere with our construction site. We have attached the layout plan for your reference. Furthermore, for additional safety, they will be installing mesh around the hoarding and sandbags will be placed at the bottom of the fencing.
