One week until MAYFEST!!!

…and we have LOTS of ways for you to contribute to the big, fun-filled day!

VOLUNTEERS – There are still LOTS of 30 minute openings at many of the stations. Bouncy castles are especially short! Unfortunately, without parents to man the bouncy castles, NO KIDS WILL BE ALLOWED! And how sad would that be?!! Please take a moment to sign-up and be involved in making this a great day for our kids bit.ly/MayFest2018

BAKED GOODS – This week we’re asking you to start pouring through your favourite recipes, blog sites and baking shows to find inspiration for your contribution(s) to the Patisserie and/or Cake Walk. Your nut-free donations can be delivered to the school on Friday the 25th after 3:30pm, or the morning of Mayfest prior to 11am. If you’d like to reclaim your plate/container, please be sure to label it and pick it up at the end of the day Saturday.

BOOK SALE & RUMMAGE SALE DONATIONS – With the long weekend almost upon us, and a rainy day in the forecast for tomorrow, it’s a perfect opportunity to snoop through your home for gently-used books and household items to contribute to our Rummage and Book Sales. Donations can be delivered to the school lobby starting Tuesday, May 22nd.

BASKET RAFFLE DONATIONS – Please take a minute and check out the green paper that came home with the Mayfest flier, to find out your child(ren)’s class themes for the basket donations. Items can be delivered to home room teacher(s) until end of day Wedneday, May 23rd.

OPEN TUNING / OPEN MIKE! – This year, through the generous efforts of Conrad Heidenreich and Janice MacNeil, we’ll have live performances and an Open Mike opportunity for anyone interested in taking to the “stage” and sharing their talents! Students are encouraged to speak with Miss MacNeil prior to Mayfest to book a time slot, and everyone is welcome to chat with Conrad on the day. This will be SUCH a great addition to the festivities!!!

SUN-BRELLAS/CANOPIES – Anyone who’s generously volunteered to stand in the blazing sun of Mayfest will attest to the fact that we always need more shade! Anyone willing to loan us a canopy for the day, please get in touch with liane.mahon@gmail.com.

As a reminder about why Mayfest is not just fun, but also really important to your kids, here’s a link to our video:
