Palmerston Families in Need – PLEASE HELP!

Happy weekend everyone!

Despite the relatively “balmy” conditions in the past few days, the temperatures are quickly starting to drop. Unfortunately, we’ve learned that several families in our school are currently without proper cold-weather attire. Sadly, this is affecting not only the children, but their parents/guardians as well.

In the spirit of the festive season and general goodwill of our Palmerston community, please consider helping those less fortunate in their time of need.

Starting Monday and until Friday, we’ll be gratefully accepting new and VERY gently-used coats, snow pants, boots, hats, scarves and mittens. The donation box will be located in the office. Attached below is the list of what’s needed.

Please note that this is different than the clothing drive in Mme.Roebuck’s class, in which a local recycling company will collect and pay for secondhand clothes, in order to keep these items out of landfill.

If you have any questions about this winter-gear initiative, contact us via

With sincerest thanks and warmest regards,

School Council
